Monday September 27th, 2010On Saturday 25 the PAKEA BIZKAIA reached to the port of Copenhagen after two days sailing from the Norwegian city of Stavanger.
SW winds of 15 knots allowed the PAKEA BIZKAIA navigate the first 24 hours at a speed of 8-9 knots. Then the conditions changed, dropping the wind and starting to rain. Almost could not see beyond 3 miles, and the heavy traffic made the navigation complicated, because once dubbed the Jylland peninsula they were in the busiest area of the entrance to the Baltic Sea.
In Copenhagen PAKEA BIZKAIA team will meet with members of the European Environment Agency to explain the educational project and try to reach an agreement to collaborate on future expeditions.
