Pakea Bizkaia arrive in LOFOTEN ISLANDS

Tuesday September 7th, 2010After sailing during four days sailing the PAKEA BIZKAIA and his crew are now moored in the town of Henningsvaer in the Lofoten Islands.

They arrived on Tuesday 7 September at two o’clock accompanied by the aurora borealis that welcomed the team at the right time in which they were making the docking maneuver. The light show that they saw was just amazing.
Surprisingly, in these latitudes (68 degrees North) the stability and good weather have accompanied the crew in almost the whole trip of 500 miles, making it possible to enjoy sailing without any remarkable setback.
Today, Tuesday afternoon at 19.00 the team has a scheduled departure with Ocean Sounds organization, that is the responsible for investigate and promot the wildlife on the coast of Northern Norway. They will be accompanied by the biologist Heike Vester, coordinator and founder of Ocean Sounds specializes in Bio-acoustics of marine animals.
